Tech companies like Samsung, Sony, Ambrane, Tecno, and Godrej, among others, have launched a new line of smartphones, speakers, projectors, and more this week (December 12-18).
DH’s Tools Weekly The edition lists the latest personal technology products to keep you up to date with everything happening in the world of consumer electronics.
Samsung Galaxy M04
It features a 6.5-inch HD+ (1560 x 720 pixels) Infinity-V LCD display and comes with a 3.5mm audio jack port and triple slots (for two nano SIMs and a microSD card).
Inside, it has a 12nm MediaTek Helio P35 Octa-core processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, One UI Core 4.1 with Android 12, 4GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of storage ( expandable up to 1TB), dual camera module – 13MP + 2MP depth sensor with LED flash on the back, 5MP front camera with face unlock support and 5000mAh battery with 15W charger.
The Galaxy M04 supports the RAM Plus feature that allows users to expand the RAM up to 8GB, provided there is enough storage space. Also, Samsung promised four years of security updates and two OS upgrades for the device.
It comes in two colors – sea glass green and shade blue. It is available in two storage options – 64GB and 128GB – for Rs 8,499 and Rs 9,499.
Sony 4K SXRDTM Laser Home Projectors – VPL-XW7000ES and VPL-XW5000ES
Large Japanese 4K SXRDTM laser projectors are described as having the world’s smallest 0.61-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) native 4K SXRD panel. They promise to deliver an immersive viewing experience with high definition and high contrast in a compact body design.
It features new wide dynamic range optics combined with TRILUMINOUS PRO technology to deliver a large-screen 4K HDR experience with up to 3200 lumens of brightness.
They are powered by Sony’s X1 Ultimate projector processor, similar to what we see in Sony’s ultra-premium BRAVIA smart TVs. The company says the processor enables unique features such as Dynamic HDR Enhancer and Object-Based Super Resolution to create expanded dynamic range and extreme clarity that elevates the viewing experience.
Also, the high-end VPL-XW7000ES comes with an Advanced Focus Focus (ACF) lens and Live Color Enhancer to deliver an enhanced viewing experience. Also, the device and the packaging are made in environmentally friendly ways and reduce the carbon footprint.
Sony VPL-XW7000ES costs Rs 16,00,000 and VPL-XW5000ES costs Rs 5,50,000.
Godrej air conditioners hot and cold
It is a 3-star air conditioner and comes with a Dual Rotary Inverter Compressor for efficient refrigerant flow.
It uses Quick Defrost technology for a shorter defrost cycle, and its 5-in-1 convertible technology provides five different cooling levels to set desired cooling/heating requirements based on the weather, number of people in the room, and individual temperature preference.
Other key features include an anti-viral nano filter that removes 99.9 percent of viral particles from the air for safety. It comes with 100% copper coils and connecting tube for added efficiency and durability. It also has corrosion-resistant blue fins that resist corrosion for longer. In line with Godrej’s commitment to the environment, this air conditioner uses environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant which has no ozone depletion and low global warming potential.
An air conditioner can cool your room in the scorching summer heat when temperatures rise above 50°C and can warm the room in cold winters even when the ambient temperature reaches below zero temperatures of -7°C. Air conditioners are well suited for areas that tend to use heaters during the winter. It costs Rs 65,900.
New Sony speakers
They come in slim designs made of high-quality materials, which helps in blending better in parts of the house. It features the unique 360 Spatial Sound Mapping and sound field optimization technology, which ensures that immersive cinematic surround sound is delivered to the owners sitting in the living room.
As the name suggests, the HT-A5000 is the high-end model and comes with a 450W amplifier and the HT-A3000 offers 240W audio output.
They easily connect with Bluetooth and WI-FI to stream content. They are best paired with Sony BRAVIA TVs for the ultimate audiovisual experience with Acoustic Center Sync.
It also supports voice activation for a hassle-free experience with Alexa and Google Assistant. Sony HT-A5000 (with SW3) starts at Rs 1,11,980 and Sony HT-A3000 (with SW3) costs Rs 83,980 in India.
Ambrane wise glaze
It is said to be India’s first smartwatch with an AMOLED screen to support 1000 nits brightness. It features a 1.78-inch screen and comes with a premium IP68 body and design and a skin-friendly silicone strap.
It offers more than 100 watch faces, including interactive dials, live watch faces, customizable widgets, and customization options.
It supports voice calling via Bluetooth, and supports more than 100 sports modes that include standard running, walking, and cycling, as well as extreme sports such as gymnastics, yoga, hiking, dance, karate, taekwondo, horseback riding, disc games, and more. Wise Glaze can monitor blood oxygen levels (SpO2), track sleep, send sedentary and water-drinking reminders, and track female menstrual cycles.
With a 280mAh battery, Wise Glaze can provide up to seven days of battery life. It costs 1,999 rupees.
HP Smart Tank Printers
They promise to deliver an enhanced user experience with easy and seamless setup, smart features, and better connectivity — including self-healing Wi-Fi, smart app navigation, and smart progression.
HP’s new ink tank printers can also print up to 18,000 pages in black or up to 6,000 pages in color for uninterrupted printing using a pre-filled ink supply option.
The new printer features sustainably made components, consisting of approximately 45 percent post-consumer recycled content. It also boasts EPEAT Silver and Energy Star certifications.
HP Smart Tank 580, 520 and 210 series are available at Rs 18,848, Rs 15,980 and Rs 13,326 respectively.
Tecno Phantom X2 series
The new device comes in two variants – Phantom X2 and X2 Pro. It features a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED panel with support for 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The regular X2 model comes with 8GB of RAM, while the X2 Pro has 12GB. Both devices support virtual memory, which allows the user to extend the RAM up to 5GB more, provided there is enough storage space in the phone. Also, the new phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series.
The new devices will be launched in India in the coming months and the pricing will be revealed during the local launch event.
